Review of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1991) by Aurelius D — 12 Jul 2010
This film is superb, mostly because it's so funny, and it's also very smart. It's also very understated, for example it starts as if it could be some God-awful made-for-TV thing, then shows itself to a Golden-Lion-winning film.
There seems to be a common view of it that it didn't work as a film as opposed to a plya, but I can only assume that it's just very different and therefore unwelcome, as oppose to being bad.
