Review of Rope (1948) by Andrew C — 05 Dec 2008
An interesting film. Definitely has its faults, but Jimmy Stewart is great and Hitchcock is just the greatest director ever. I read that they almost didn't show the first 3 minutes or so of the film.
It so would have benefited from not seeing the murder on screen. Other than that though, this is a solid thriller about philosophy and hiding the truth while playing with it.
