Review of Rope (1948) by Josepha K — 15 Feb 2009
A creepy little tale about two men who murder a classmate just to see how it feels. A lot of dialogue, and a certain uncomfortableness for leading man James Stewart (with the subjet matter of the film) make for a great film to watch closely.
I like Farley Granger a lot. Classic, but not for everyone. Read between the lines with this one. The REAL story is buried.
