Review of Rope (1948) by Dashaun V — 21 Dec 2009
Hitchcock's first color venture. It's not a great film when you compare it to other things Hitch did but, considered by itself, it's a pretty good movie. James Steward gets top billing in this dark movie but, it's quite clear that the real star of the picture is John Dall.
Mr. Dall is so good in this movie, it really makes me wish he made more films than he did. He was so great in "The Corn is Green". He really should have done more film work.
