Review of Rope (1948) by Grant S — 25 Sep 2010
A fairly lightweight effort from Alfred Hitchcock, as if he had some spare time between big movies and made this.
Not that its bad. For the most part, it was great. Clever plot, witty dialogue, expert direction by Hitchcock.
Is ruined by the ending though, including getting rather preachy.
Worth a watch.
