A very well crafted murder mystery, that is not really that mysterious. I wanna start off by saying that, at the end Stewart talks about how Brandon twisted his ideas, and almost everyone did that with Nietzsche's ideas.

He was not a man that believed in an elite race of supermen. He believed that some people were more superior people to other people, it's not really false it just comes down to what you believe. Hitchcock made a lot of movies, and there a lot of them that nobody has ever heard of.

Some of his lesser known films are better made films that Psycho for example. His film "The 39 steps" might be his best film, I know that it could easily be argued. This film is basically a play, it takes place in one room, and there is a set in the back that looks so fake that it is almost humorous.

But it is one hell of a play, and unlike a play, there is actually some pretty good acting. James Stewart is quite good, it might be the best performance that I have seen him give. Going back to Nietzsche.

It almost seems like Rupert was representing him, and then he talks about how Brandon completely twisted his ideas, a lot like what happened in Nazi Germany. They took ideas and completely changed them with no knowledge of what they actually were.
