An excellent and suspenseful telling of a very depressing story. Young Jacob Tremblay deserves all the praise he receives and more for his performance as Jack. Brie Larson is excellent, and somehow manages to convey the slightest glimmer of hope through the eyes of a woman in the most desperate situation imaginable.
