Review of Room (2015) by Trysten A — 11 Mar 2016
This movie could have been so incredibly dark but the choice to have it told from the point of view of Jack makes it more "hopeful" and light hearted than it should be in a situation like this.
Even with a more lighter tone to the movie as a parent it is incredibly hard to watch with the idea of that happening to your child. The movie is well written, directed, and executed. It doesn't drag on like it could have.
It uses it's slower moments to build tension and story without it dropping dead in the water.
