Review of Room (2015) by Regina P — 07 May 2016

I know that this movie was critically acclaimed, but I simply cannot share the same opinion. This was beyond boring. It climaxes in the midsection, and the rest just wanders through the wilderness. I know the creators had to walk a fine line between portrayal and entertainment.

This is a sensitive subject matter, and this has happened in real life. Most people can easily recall the situation not too long where 3 women and 1 children were held in a man's a basement. However, if there were a way to respectfully portray such an ordeal while keeping audiences engaged, this movie did not discover it.
