Review of Room (2015) by Tor M — 05 Jul 2016
A huge film with a plot I never really got into before putting it on. It turns out to be a film about a woman and her five year old boy. She has been kidnapped and kept inprisoned for ten years or so and we follow their lives inside the small shed. They manage to break out and now they are ready to return to - and for the boy's sake - experience the real world.
Quite claustrophobical, often cute, often sad, always interesting. Some very impressive acting and nice moments makes it very watchable and surprizingly likeable. Some side effects and psycological turns seem weird, other seem more fitting, but in total this part works out just fine.
8 out of 10 rotten teeth.
