Review of Romulus, My Father (2007) by Karen B — 15 Sep 2007
A touching portrait of a boy's troubled relationship with his father is also an incisive critique of the immigrant experience in Australia in the early sixties. Almost unbearably sad at times; the performances from Eric Bana, Franka Potente, and Marton Csokas are modulated and powerful.
Kodi Smit-McPhee is terrific as Bana's son.
