Review of Romeo and Juliet (1968) by John B — 27 May 2008
I absolutely L.O.V.E LOVE this movie. it gets to me every time I watch it. leonard whiting totally looks like a young zac efron. and for the director to hire 2 unknowns at the time for the lead roles is amazing.
he took a big risk doing this, and I got say that this movie probably wouldnt have as good if he hadnt have takin that risk. because he took that risk they got 10 acdemy award nominations. this movie is romantic, funny, suspenseful, sexy, passionate, nail biting, and tearing up a box of tissues good.
they were a fabulous pick for the rolls. they deserve those awards they didnt receive and more. I give them a round of applause. I <3 this movie. if you havent seen any of the other romeo and juliet inerpretations.
then watch this one. its a classic that should be cherished this centuary and for years to come.
