Mid-80s action adventure that you could be mistaken for thinking is an Indiana Jones knock-off, starring Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas.
The former is a mousy romance novelist, who has to travel to Colombia when her sister is kidnapped, during which journey she meets and falls in love with Douglas's adventurer. Danny De Vito gives a good run for the money as one of the bad(ish) guys, too.
