Joan Wilder (Kathleen Turner) is a hopeless romantic that writes successful romance novels. When she finds out her sister has been kidnapped and only she can help, she heads to Columbia where she encounters Jack Colton (Michael Douglas).
The two team up that leads to a wild adventuring featuring nothing short of alligators, heists, waterfalls and treasure hunting. Romancing the Stone is a romance tale coming to life, that is decent adventure comedy film.
