Review of Romance & Cigarettes (2005) by Quinto W — 07 Feb 2008
I never thought it'd came a day I wouldn't like a musical starring Susan Sarandon - she's Janet Weiss, for Christ's sake! - and Kate Winslet, but it's happened. While Winslet showcases amazing comedic talent and Mary-Louise Parker looks smokingly hot, the musical elements feel out of place, uneven, underdeveloped and the story is too empty and unfulfilling to care.
