Review of Romance & Cigarettes (2005) by George C — 28 Feb 2008
I'm almost hesitant to review this one; I wish I had something more positive to say about it. First of all, I checked it out because of Kate Winslet being in it, then I saw Buscemi was too, so I thought it'd be worth a watch.
..There is some clever dialogue, and very surprisingly, the only redeeming part (for me) was played by Susan Sarandon. It borders on the same unconventional bizarre nature of 'Across the Universe'.
..except the music isn't nearly as favorable. Too much of the movie I sat there with a quizzical look on my face, wondering what the heck was happening. Seriously? Yes, I'm afraid so.
