This movie, with an all-star cast, was a practice in mediocrity. The filmmakers attempted to rise above this with flashy elements: lots of cursing from Susan Sarandon, sudden bursts of song from "that guy from Sopranos," Kate Winslet looking hotter than ever before.
..but the flash wasn't enough to cover up the lack of substance.
