"Romance and Cigarettes" is a film I loved for its ambition and originality. The ensemble cast is excellent, as is the direction by John Turturro. It's a fun and dark modern musical, that doesn't have to base its excellence on flashy set designs, but on its story and the characters.
It's a very human piece of work.
