Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Joan T — 15 Nov 2009
Interesting...I guess I was still trying to figure out why critics call Polanski a "genius....groundbreaking....director...regardless he has made a few good movies (Rosemary's Baby...Tess...Frantic).
This is a decent account of Polanski's career and personal life with emphasis on his trial for raping a 13 year old. What people need to see, especially those who think "let's just forget about the whole ordeal" the photos this genius took of a then 13 year old girl.
..she looked like she was 10 and the whole situation is truly disgusting. This gets a bit long with interviews of the defense team for his trial. There are great never -before- seen clips of 60's era parties and photos.
If you are fascinated by Polanski's trial you will really enjoy it, if you are looking for a bio on Polanksi you might not.
