Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Miguel A — 29 Aug 2011
The film never asks you which perspective to take when examining the infamous Polanski sex scandal, but instead focuses on whether or not the man was given a fair trial. More of a meditation on the state of celebrity and the shortcomings of our own legal system, Polanski's choice to leave the country before his "official" sentencing seems justified and completely reasonable by the end.
Although the film seems somewhat redundant at times, the meat of the story is what draws in the viewer.
