Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. I was so moved by this character and Denzel's performance. His purity and commitment to his beliefs and convictions were truly felt. I didn't cry during the film because I was taking everything in, especially the quirkiness.
But I have cried 4 separate times just thinking about this character and how I wish I could be 1/100 as awesome and authentic (despite his understandable but admitted mistakes). Such a beautiful character! Thank you Denzel for inspiring me with an amazing performance!!
