Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Leighton T — 28 Aug 2009
Audrey Hepburn is so hot. And Gegory Peck is such a pimp. Watching this movie I got the sensation of seeing where alot of the crappy romantic comedies I've seen in my life got their inspiration. Some scenes are very stark because of the lack of background music.
Whether that was how movies used to be or the intention of the director, I don't know, but at some points my modern sensibilities screamed in desire for some emotional swelling of strings to really hit that scene home and make me cry.
Luckily, this movie has more integrity than that.
