Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Kelvinselimor — 28 Jun 2023
Roman Holiday. Heavy weekday princesses. An insanely interesting picture with a still very beginner Audrey Hepburn with an already more experienced Gregory Peck and these two perfectly combine each other.
Audrey's lightness and Gregory's humor make the film a great success. Many thanks to the writers, director and the rest of the film crew for presenting such a masterpiece, which even after more than 70 years I want to revisit it again.
I will definitely check it out and I'm sure many more times. A very good idea to shoot everything as naturally as possible, namely in Rome itself, which made it possible to convey the whole spirit of the picture as much as possible, as well as to show the "real scenery.
