Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Trevor H — 16 Apr 2011
An excellent romantic comedy that has stood the test of time. Hepburn plays a (British) princess who escapes the routine of royal engagement and enjoys a day of fun and escapade with news reported Gregory Peck.
Wyler keeps the pace moving nicely and plot developments are far from predictable. Hepburn won an Oscar for Best Actress in this, her first major role.
