Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by Stefanos T — 04 May 2011
Gregory Peck finds himself in this very light and fun romantic comedy with Rome at its most beautiful and energetic. Audrey Hepburn is very beautiful and perhaps the most beautiful on screen appearance in my opinion.
What is different in this movie is that it doesn't try hard to be funny or anything else. It lets the actors exude every charm. While I was halfway through the film I sort of predicted the ending and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
The ending was played out in such a subtle and delicate manner that inevitably lead me to give this film a high rating.
