Review of Roman Holiday (1953) by John W — 05 Apr 2015
Starring Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck and Eddie Albert. Warm and touching romance of a bored princess who escapes her guards on a trip to Rome. She is discovered in the streets by journalist Peck who initially wants to get a story from this, until love gets in the way.
They can never be together of course, which leads to its heartbreaking conclusion. This is essentially the opposite of the Cinderella story. Directed by William Wyler.
