Review of Roma (2018) by Navybean — 01 Jan 2019
I guess it depends why you go to the movies. I like movies that have a story. Apparently critics and the self-important art-house crowd only care how a film is shot. I even read one review that called it a "masterpiece" but also said it had "not much of a story.
" Another, which was one of the lower rated, said something to the effect of "no one would care about this as much if it was done by another director." I shrugged my shoulders after the credits came on and will likely never independently think of this film again.
