Review of Rollerball (2002) by Ibrahim A — 07 Jul 2009
My rating is significantly higher than others because of a couple of things. Firstly it features Paul Heyman as the commentator. This is the one breath of fresh air in the whole film and drags it up from complete shite into just shite.
He is in his usual over-the-top mad scientist kind of persona which I love and brings the one bit of excitement into the film. The sport scenes are terrible, the plot is bad and the pacing is just terrible as well.
If it werent for Paul E and the Appearances of Shane O' Mac and Slipknot (Which was pretty much why I bought it for the grand sum of £1) I would not have watched til the end. I would watch it again but only if all my other DVD's had exploded.
I might even choose Hannah Montana or High School Musical over this. Yeah its that bad. Thank god for Paul E! GET HIM IN A GOOD FILM ON COMMENTARY!!!!
