Think of a roller derby movie... I don't know, Kansas City Bomber I guess? And imagine it directed by someone like Tarkofsky, or maybe Godard. Simplistic science fiction has been done before, and well too (this is why I wanted you to think of Godard's Alphaville and Tarkofsky's Solaris) but Jewison gets it all wrong and this looks too artsy and noveau while becoming boring at the same time.
Not very good, a bit of a let down.
