Review of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) by Ryan%20 T — 28 Feb 2017
JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A DIVERSE CAST, DOESN'T MAKE THE FILM GOOD. Jen Eyrso, or whatever, was bland and flat. Cassian was bland and flat. The back story between her and the father was shoe horned and didn't amount to anything resonant.
Forest Whitaker is just kind of there to give a speech for the trailer. All of the side characters also feel shoehorned, and Donnie Yen is only there so they can better market the film in China. The action is lame.
There is nothing new or creative. I'm having a hard time understanding why people are defending this.
