Review of Rogue (2007) by Joe L — 08 Nov 2008
So is it possible? A decent crocodile film can still be made?? In fact it is possible my friends. Rogue is a very well done horror/"when animals attack" film and plays off the classic tools of building tension that go back to the good old days of jaws.
The croc looks great and the film is never too predictable. It has it's sense of good humour and all the actors do their job well. It's not super gory and instead uses true tension and suspense to build the terror instead of cheap scares.
I entirely enjoyed the whole experience of this film and look forward to seeing what McLean can do to revive the horror genre. Good good good!
