Review of Rogue (2007) by Hannah S — 05 Sep 2009
An unfortunately far too generic monster movie. It's shot beautifully which is ultimately its downfall as McLean takes too long showing us the beauty before the carnage begins. And the carnage there is is too often off-screen, even if there are moments of decent tension surrounding the escape from the killer croc.
A desire for practical effects is recognised and more often beneficial than an over-reliance on CGI.
