Review of Rogue (2007) by Sam N — 12 Jan 2013
Rogue is a real breath of fresh air in a genre saturated with cheap flicks. True, Greg Mclean doesn't exactly revolutionise the world of monster-movies, but this is a first-class specimen of the breed.
The film is a blend of breathtaking views of the Australian outback, a mix of brilliantly-judged character studies among the tourists, suspense worthy of Hitchcock, and an ending that doesn't pull its punches.
Full marks.
