Review of Roger & Me (1989) by Jenna C — 23 Jul 2008
You have to watch almost every documentary with a grain of salt. This one was pretty good. Although other factors contributed to the economic depression of Flint, I think Michael Moore did a good job of showing how much big business had to do with it.
One of the most interesting interviewees was the lobbyist for GM. He's got it all wrong in my opinion. Yes corporations need to make a profit, but don't tell me they don't owe anything to anyone. A corporation is is legally treated like a person. No one would be accepted in society if they acted the way some of these multinational corporations do. They should do more. They can do more while making a profit at the same time.
