Review of Roger & Me (1989) by Graham L — 27 Aug 2008
1980, GM makes record profit sales and how do they celebrate, CEO Roger Smith cuts 30.000 jobs, removing 11 factory plants from Flint Michigan and moves them to Mexico, leaving the town in ruins. A cashier gets robbed while Ronald Reagan is present.
One man is put in a mental hospital after the shock of losing his job. People, formerly employed by GM, are being kicked out of their homes and what does Roger Smith say "There is nothing I can do.
" This is the kind of bullshit corp assholes who deserve to be punished, taken to a third world country without money or contact and sent into the wilderness. People like Roger Smith are all corp assholes who all deserve that punishment.
Someone tell me when cutting jobs after making record profits is justified.
