Review of Rocky Balboa (2006) by Galaxy Quest P — 09 Sep 2012
A really good film, and one that as a sequel fans of Rocky can be proud of. The story incorporates the classic family problems and connections but with a good believable and meaningful problem as Robert struggles to live in Rocky' shadow and resents him for it.
The story with Adrian's death and the sadness that Rocky carries throughout the film was also very well done. The dialogue is great with a lot of the classic Rocky humour and also some great line about never giving up and always chase your dreams.
The incorporation of the new technology and simulation fight was well done but not out of the realm of possibility which was able to let the story stay close to its roots as a boxers life who had one more fight left in him.
For Rocky fans it is a must see, and for those watching this one first before the other five it is a great way to create new fans.
