Review of RocknRolla (2008) by Parker M — 23 Aug 2010
Another Guy Ritchie drama success. It was a good story of betrayal and gangster rivalry. It really shows the difference between friends and opportunists that are waiting for their chance. I loved Gerard Butler and Tom Wilkinson in this one.
Their performances were outstanding. However, the movie seemed a little too comfortable with the pattern that they're in. It seemed that they were trying to kick start the action at first, then it just had trouble jumping up to that next level.
Still, the dialog was very humorous, and some of the chemistry between the actors was visible through out. A good movie if you're more interested in a story than the action sequences.
