Review of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022) by Nigh5 — 20 Aug 2022
Take a pen and paper and write any fan fiction about dragon ball, and you’ll have a better movie then Super Hero. In fact I’m going to right now, I’m the theater right now watching the movie. No prep. No idea.
Gohan gets captured in a matrix type sensory pod, under the ruse that he thinks Vegeta and goku, and piccolo have died— pushing him to unlock his saiyan power to beyond instinct. This power level comes at the cost of a mentally exhausting trial of depression and hopelessness lived in the apocalyptic matrix. This virtual power surge unlocks Gohan’s strength, and breaks the matrix illusion. However, he is stunned and broken by being deceived, and unsure if the world he’s waken up in is real or imaginary. Unfortunately, the enemy who tricked him, was none other then vegeta himself. In a life of endless training and sacrifice, vegeta never wa able to get ahead and, under red ribbon’s resources, rationalizes using Gohan to get stronger. Vegeta with his new power, defeats enemies with ease, but leaves reckless destruction on earth. This triggers Gohan to get up and fight as he knows living in a world like the one he saw in the pod is, an unfair fate to the innocents of earth.
The movie Lina’s battle is a full strength gonna vs a power drunk Gohan. Gohan wins.
Thank you Super Hero for motivating me to write and make something that isn’t complete derivative abuse of dragon ball lore.
