Review of RocknRolla (2008) by Brad G — 28 Aug 2010
Not just a return to form, Rocknrolla is Guy Ritchie's masterpiece. A wickedly fine ensemble lead by Gerard Butler's charming goon, Mark Strong's steely cool henchman, Tom Hardy's handsomely effeminate wheelman, and Tom Wilkinson's no school like the old school royal thug--the film is slick, choppy, polished, kinetic, and safely dangerous with a fantastic soundtrack and crackerjack dialogue.
If you enjoyed Lock Stock and Snatch or just general Brit Crime then you'll love this bit of the London Underground. VF.
