Review of RocknRolla (2008) by Lorena A — 01 Sep 2010

Richie repeats his formulaic gangster movie with the usual cockney voiceover, funky tunes and colourful characters.

It feels like a return to form over the first 10 minutes but a promising plot quickly degenerates into a rambling festival of guns and gags that leaves you checking your watch, hoping the end is in sight (which never comes).

A tighter edit and much shorter running time may have saved this movie but ultimately it's a borefest. Shame.
