Rocketman what pleasant and unexpected surprise.This film was enthralling both visually and emotionally due to the fantastic performances from Taron Edgeton and Jamie Bell including the fantastic direction of Dexter Fletcher who tells the story of Elton John brilliantly.
This film tells the life story of Elton John showing how he rose to fame, including the struggles with his personal life and dealing with addiction.This largely engaged me through the film being an all out musical, filmed like a full on dream sequence with most emotional scenes showing the characters breaking into song.I really like that this wasn't just an all out biopic with one thing happening and then the other.
Overall the only flaw I had with this film is it can sometimes suffer some pacing issues in parts of the film but it didn't ruin the experience of watching the film at all.
