Whereas Bohemian Rhapsody was a film about music, Rocketman is a musical film, using a jukebox approach which allows Elton's diverse catalogue of songs to tell his life story. Free from traditional biopic constraints, the film tells his story in a fantastic and often fantastical way.
Taron delivers a compelling performance, and Fletcher's mature approach to the story has given way to one of the best biopics ever made, as well as a great film in its own right.
