Review of Rocket Science (2007) by Scott C — 01 Aug 2009

This movie is about a shy, awkward high school kid plucked by the captain of the debate squad to join her team. Fortunately, this story of what happens next doesn't follow the standard formula. There is no injured-Daniel-LaRusso-crane-kicks-Johnny-Lawrence-to-win-tournament moment.

Which is fine. That rarely happens in life anyway. And it lmost never in New Jersey. It was an enjoyable movie, but there was something missing, which prevents me from having loved it.
