Review of Rock of Ages (2012) by Keir B — 09 Mar 2015
It's ridiculously fun. Brilliant self-satirising performances by supporting players and engaging, if generic, leads. Tom Cruise in particular excels as Stacee Jaxx; he's clearly at his best when he's being different, and here he manages to create an utterly convincing rockstar, both in character and in voice.
Not intelligent, not tense - it's nothin' but a good time.
