Review of Rock of Ages (2012) by Caleb C — 27 Jun 2016

I really enjoyed the majority of this film. It was great to see the songs here performed in musical numbers, and I believe anyone who is a fan of the 80's style music will partly or mostly love this film.

Where it falls short is when it becomes cheesy and awkward in some places. I guess it all depending on the crowd you watch it with though. I would say that the Extended Edition was a good choice of how to watch this, although, it did feel a bit too long for my taste.

I will possibly have to see the theatrical cut just to get a different perspective on this picture. Otherwise, if you are a fan of musicals at all, you are sure to love this one.
