Review of Rock of Ages (2012) by Brian D — 27 Jun 2016

Rock of Ages is a 1 * film, no two ways about it. "But Brian, why did you give it 3 *'s if it's only worth one" I hear you ask? Well, the two extra *'s are for Tom Cruise's performance.

This extended cameo is almost as amazing as his appearance in Tropic Thunder. In fact, Tom is the only reason to watch this film at all. His performance as Stacee Jaxx elevates this really unwatchable film to tolerable.

Well, as long as he's on screen. Also, if his voice wasn't auto-tuned, his singing was damn good too. All in all, this is a bad film. But, thanks to Tom Cruise, it's watchable and entertaining.
