Review of RoboCop 2 (1990) by Jay L — 15 Dec 2010
Robocop 2 will always live in the shadow of the classic first film, but it's just as fun and maybe even a little more action packed. These movies are fantastic, I'm a huge science fiction-action film fan, and these Robocop movies are a staple of the genre. The Terminator films and the Robocop films are spectacular entertainment. Classics. Like the first, it features groundbreaking action and visual effects that were years before their time. This along with another nail-biting and suspenseful story make Robocop a must-see, must-own film for any cinematic freak like me. Robocop battles another cyborg in this sci-fi romp of a sequel. An explosive, bullet-riddled, action-packed, powerful, intense, and hair-raising science fiction powerhouse.
Peter Weller and Nancy Allen are excellent yet again, and the supporting cast is good as well. Along with all the action, it's funny as hell as well. Director Irvin Kerschner has crafted a well acted and ultraviolent masterwork. Another must-see.
