More of a farce than utilising the element of satire, like the original, to pass it off as a serious sci-fi action film with the element of comedy. I do not understand why the potential storyline of the Alex Murphy flashbacks was not developed.
Oh, and, why is a 12-13 year old boy a crime ring boss? It started out as humorous with some satire like the original film, but just went downhill fast. Glad I did not grow up with this, even though I could have at the time.
