Review of RoboCop (1987) by Alexander P — 24 Nov 2011
Over the top violence a key part of Verhoeven's films and even though quite dated still shocks in places - Verhoeven enjoys stirring up controversy and this is no different, Weller's death scene is so brutal yet not banned and yet horror films with less violence get banned.
Verhoeven pushes the boundaries of violence and gore and yet keeps it a film with a decent plot, emotion and action.
