Review of RoboCop (1987) by David S — 04 Aug 2013
Saw this on the big screen the other day and had forgotten how funny it was. The memories I had from my childhood seemed to be more to do with the violence but pretty much each bit of overkill is paid off with a great punchline.
The effects still stand up pretty well (I still quite like the stop-motion ED209 too) and Weller does a great job in the lead role. A classic 80's film from a time when studios weren't scared to put out action/sci-fi with a harder edge.
